7月23日 Floods in the UKI don't think I can ever say my stay in the UK has been that boring - there is always something dramatic happening here. First it was the floods up north, then the foiled bomb attempts and now this weekend the major floods - but this time my town is bordering the 3 counties that have flooded.
They say its the worst floods in nearly 100 years. Some parts have been declared major emergency areas. Many homes have been evacuated. Cars were stranded on the motorway for over 15 hours on friday night. Some areas had 3 months of rain in 48 hours....
And all on the weekend I decided to go out .... I got stuck on the motorway on friday night for 2 hours - to just drive 5 miles, but once I got onto the other motorway I headed off for my night out. I had a really good time, and got home at 2am.
On Saturday morning I went to my friend for the weekend. We went out to one of her friends and spent the day with a few other friends.
I had a really great weekend, and am now safe at home and will probably stay indoors as much as possible until the floods and rains stop
