November 17 Well .... here I amOMG ... can you believe I haven't posted for 2 months ... Well I am not even going to apologise or make excuses ... I just hope you remember me
 Ok ... Ok ... sorry I have been MIA but I haven't really been up to blogging. Now let me see if I can remember everything that happened in the last 2 months.My mom came to visit me for 2 weeks ... It was really great to have her here. We didn't do any touristy things ... we did lots of shopping and visiting family. It was nice to have some of mom's cooking and company.
I had a fall out with a friend almost 2 months ago ... I was quite upset about it when it happened but I have since seen her true colours and heard the things she said about my back and realised she is just a sad case and it's no wonder she has no friends. I was supposedly insensitive with a comment I made (because I was trying to deal with my own problems) and no matter how much I apologised it was simply not good enough. Some people are just not forgiving.... and I can now see a pattern in her behaviour ... anyway she is out my life now. One good thing that came out of knowing her was that I made other really great friends.
I lost my biggest client in SA (and my biggest source of income). That came as a huge blow to me but I guess everything happens for a reason and there is not use getting to upset over it.
I am still struggling here in the UK ... it's not easy to make friends, people don't reply to job applications, expenses are high ... blah blah ... I think this has probably been the hardest year I have had to deal with , but I guess this is part of the master plan that was devised for me.
I am going back to SA for a month of summer holidays. I leave the UK on 1 December and arrive back on 31 December. I am so excited and cannot wait to see my family and friends. I am looking forward to some sunshine and warmth (I don't think the UK get much of that) ... I am going to relax and put this year behind me and get ready for a new year ... a year of new things ...
It's my birthday in 9 days ... I am going to London to meet a friend that I met online. She will be over here for 5 days ... so we are getting together on my birthday. I am so excited !!

I will post a page each day (or every 2 to 3 days). The author has written a few other books which I may try and get.
K xxx August 23 Not much to reportI don't have a ton to report.
I fell down the stairs at home on Saturday - it was bound to happen because I seem to fall up and down almost all stairs that have been in any house I have stayed in. This time was strange because I wasn't running or doing anything silly. I just slipped and fell on my butt - down 6 steps. It hurt quite a bit and I now I have a HUGE bruise on my bum that is 4 inches wide and 2 inches high.
Mmm .... what else can I tell you ....... UMMMM
I am off to Switzerland this weekend - its a long weekend in the UK and I found a special online. I am quite excited.
Now where the hell are all of you ???????
Will let you know how this weekend goes and how wonderful Switzerland is.

 That is one of the only 2 jokes I remember from back at school ... It really is a silly joke, but it's usually the silly ones that stick !
In my next life I am coming back as a man ... the only hormones they have to worry about are the raging randy ones ... I know I complain about the same thing every month, but since coming of the pill (that caused my stroke 2 years ago) I have aweful "monthlies" - or whenever the choose to come.
I feel yuck, sore, uncomfortable and not in the greatest mood !! The slightest thing irritates me and now my skin has broken out and I look all spotty !

Ok seriously....
My grandfather had a stroke last week and I have been run off my feet visiting every day and working and launching my new website.
He had a stroke last Monday / Tuesday and when the did the scans they discovered a scar from a previous stroke which we believe to have happened just before the wedding last year in the US. Anyway - he came out of hospital on Wednesday and is slowly recovering but it has been a long and worrying week.
I have been quite busy with work and launched my new website for my business ... now my designer and I sit and wait for the jobs to come rolling in ...
I bought myself a new lawnmower - rather exciting, huh ! Well when I moved in here there was a manual push thing - total waste of time and energy... it does not work unless the grass is short ... I eventually gave up and bought a cheap electric lawnmower and it works wondefully. The grass was cut in 5 minutes (literally) ... I have a tiny garden ... and I am all for doing things as easy a possible.
The rain has finally dried up. We have had terrible floods nearby but for the last week we have had sunshine and blue skies and it has been hot !!
Hopefully the weekend will be the same.

K xxx July 23 Floods in the UKI don't think I can ever say my stay in the UK has been that boring - there is always something dramatic happening here. First it was the floods up north, then the foiled bomb attempts and now this weekend the major floods - but this time my town is bordering the 3 counties that have flooded.
They say its the worst floods in nearly 100 years. Some parts have been declared major emergency areas. Many homes have been evacuated. Cars were stranded on the motorway for over 15 hours on friday night. Some areas had 3 months of rain in 48 hours....
And all on the weekend I decided to go out .... I got stuck on the motorway on friday night for 2 hours - to just drive 5 miles, but once I got onto the other motorway I headed off for my night out. I had a really good time, and got home at 2am.
On Saturday morning I went to my friend for the weekend. We went out to one of her friends and spent the day with a few other friends.
I had a really great weekend, and am now safe at home and will probably stay indoors as much as possible until the floods and rains stop
K xxx July 20 Pink and sparklingIt's pink and it sparkles ....
I had my belly button pierced again today. I had it done in February as a going away present from a friend ... but just my luck, my body rejected the piercing and it worked its way out ... I really enjoyed it while it lasted and decided to have it done again. I went today ... I asked them why they thought my body rejected the first one ... There are a few reasons, but apparantly stress can cause it - and it happened when I moved from SA to the UK, which you will remember was quite stressful, and it was when I was so sick for a full month... so now I know why it possibly happened.
ANYWAY ... it wasn't really that sore. I think the anticipation was worse than anything. I only got a brief glimpse of how pretty it is before the lady covered it with a dressing to protect it from infection. I can remove the dressing tomorrow.
